Be a Carnivalite !

Glastonbury Carnival needs your help.  We need volunteers for Carnival Day and throughout the year.  There are many roles that we need to cover.

How to get involved

It’s easy to get involved, just contact any committee member and ask what needs doing.   You do not have to join the committee to be involved.

Things you can get involved in:

New for 2017 - Novelty Light Up toy selling

Fundraising - could you organise an event to help raise funds?

Attend a fundraising event - run or man a tombola stall?

Marshalling - marshal at local events around Glastonbury. Road run, Mayors Parade, Pilgrimages, to name a few, we marshal at other carnivals and events.

Car Park management - man one of our official car parks.

Coin Collecting - mingle amongst the crowds collecting coins (or perhaps the odd note!) And raise funds for your Charity or Not for Profit Organisation.

Coin Counting - scheduled teams starting at intervals after carnival throughout the night, until completed on Sunday. Sift out foreign coins, by hand or machine and raise funds for your Charity or Not for Profit Organisation.  You may even find the odd sovereign…it has been known!

Carnival Day Set Up - Erecting road signs and no parking cones, Friday night line - up, town hall preparations or doing last minute shopping.

Publicity and Sponsorship - Can you help us speak to local businesses and source sponsorship or advertising ?

Marketing - design marketing materials

Events - help organise events, in particular, our Carnival Presentation held in January.

There are many things to get involved in, we really need all the extra hands.

If you would like to get involved with one of the local carnival clubs, we suggest that you visit their website, Facebook page or speak to one of the clubs members directly.
